Caravel Pix Price
The apps are not published yet: this is the help that ships with them.
What you need
The real discount and instalments set up in your payment provider: the app only displays them.
Getting started
- Create a rule in Rules.
- In the theme editor, add the “Pix price & instalments” block to the product page, below the price, and save.
- Optionally activate the “Pix price on cards” app embed. Changes to rules and texts reach the store when you save, without editing the theme again.
Display only
The app does not change prices, checkout, payment methods or the payment gateway. Set the real Pix discount and instalment conditions in your payment provider and keep them equal to the rules here, so customers pay what they see.
Rounding
All amounts are calculated in whole centavos. The Pix price and each instalment with interest are rounded half up to the nearest centavo. Each interest-free instalment is the price ÷ number rounded down, so the instalments shown never add up to more than the price; your payment provider may add the remaining centavos to one instalment.
Instalments with interest
Instalments above the interest-free limit use the Price table (fixed instalments): instalment = price × i ÷ (1 − (1 + i)^−n), where i is the monthly rate. The default text shows the monthly rate, the effective annual rate ((1 + i)^12 − 1) and the total, which Brazilian consumer rules expect when credit is offered. Fees or taxes charged by your provider (such as IOF) are not included: check the wording with your adviser.
Which rule applies
A product rule wins over a tag rule, which wins over a collection rule, which wins over the whole-store rule. Among rules of the same kind, the higher one in the list wins. Disabled rules and rules above the plan limit are not published.
Limits
Product card lines are placed by matching product links in your theme and cover the products of the first loaded page; check them after activating the embed. Lines show only for prices in reais unless you change the block setting. Up to 50 rules and 100 items per rule.
Frequently asked questions
Does the app apply the discount at checkout?
No. The app only displays the lines in your store. Set the Pix discount and instalment terms in your payment provider and keep the rules the same.
How is rounding done?
Amounts are calculated in whole centavos. Interest-free instalments are rounded down so that together they never exceed the price; other amounts are rounded to the nearest centavo.
How are instalments with interest calculated?
With the Price table (fixed instalments) and the monthly rate you enter. The default text shows the monthly rate, the effective annual rate and the total.
Do I need to edit theme code?
No. Add the block in the theme editor. For product cards, activate the app embed and check the result in your theme.
Does the app store my customers' data?
No. Only the rules, texts, plan and the store's installation session are stored.
Does it work in other currencies?
By default the lines only show to customers browsing in Brazilian reais. You can change this in the block settings.
Which languages are available?
The admin and default storefront texts are in Brazilian Portuguese, European Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. Custom texts are not translated.
